ISCC Background

The Irish Serbian Chamber of Commerce (ISCC) is a non-profit organisation funded by membership fees and private donations. It was launched on May 26, 2021 at an online event attended by 100 + participants.

Keynote speakers H.E. Aleksandra Joksimović, then Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Ireland, Simon Coveney, at the time Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ireland, and ISCC Founder Frank Hannigan outlined a long-term programme for developing stronger economic, trade, and cultural ties between Ireland and Serbia.

Irish companies such as Kingspan, Learnupon, Daon, Everseen, Aspire Technology, Ardagh Group, Agri Business Partner, ICON, CRH and – most recently – Capaciteam have already established a presence in Serbia, while Serbian Companies such as Nordeus and Comtrade Digital have settled in Ireland, seeding the infrastructure for future trade and commerce both in Serbia itself, and the wider region, with Serbia acting as a gateway to the Balkans and South-eastern Europe.

Working closely with the Department of Foreign Affairs in Dublin, Ireland’s Embassy to Serbia in Athens, and Serbia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Embassy to Ireland in London, the Irish-Serbian Chamber of Commerce’s function is to increase awareness in Dublin and Belgrade of the significant trade potential between Ireland and Serbia. This is reinforced through identifying and developing connections between our two cultures and economies, both of which are very clearly focused on the future.
