Gerard Michael Mac Carthy

Gerard Michael Mac Carthy joined the Irish-Serbian Chamber of Commerce in 2021 as a Director and Member of the Board. In September 2023, he was appointed ISCC Chairperson. 

Gerard has over 35 years’ experience in creative entrepreneurship and strategic development both the public and private sectors. For eight years he served as head of Ireland’s innovation and export agency, Enterprise Ireland, in Russia and the CIS, initiating a startup development program which saw Enterprise Ireland become the largest pre-seed foreign investor in the region 2016-18. 

His connection to Serbia dates back to 2017 when he presented the evolution of the Irish ecosystem at the official launch of Digital Serbia Initiative in Belgrade.
